Beccy is a fully qualified Degreed Applied Equine Podiatrist or DAEP.
AEP is a relatively new science which utilises a newer and better understanding of foot function in order to help rehabilitate horses with lameness and poor foot health. It is also used to maintain or improve upon current foot health and promotes shoeless or barefoot high performance.
If you would like to learn more about how AEP can help your horse and to book an appointment, please visit our dedicated Holistic Equine AEP site www.holisticequinepodiatry.co.uk.

Holistic Horse Care Consultation
Healthy, sound horses require correct environmental stimulus. Improper stimulus results in trauma or dis-ease. It is generally believed that the horse has the innate ability to heal itself, providing the environment is condusive to its health.
Holistic Equine strongly believe that the owner is key in helping horses recover from dis-ease or lameness problems and in preventing health and welfare problems in the first instance. In other words the owner is RESPONSIBLE for providing an environment in which the horse can remain healthy or recover from illness. Appropriate management changes can save you money on health problems and most importantly, can help keep your horse healthy and performing!
Holistic Equine can help you understand your horses environment and the impact it has on current health. Beccy will scrutinise your horses current environment and will include an AEP health assessment. You will be provided with a typed report which will highlight areas of concern and recommend management changes aimed at helping you create proper environmental stimulus for your horse. Copies can also be provided for your vet and other health care professionals. Diet, exercise, turnout, foot care, tack and veterinary history are among the topics examined during a consultation.
